Who is Tim?
Tim Woodburn is a native of St. Louis and he is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School (1987) and a "Mizzou" alumnus with a B.A. in Broadcast-Journalism (University of Missouri-Columbia - 1991).
He is currently a Licensed Private Investigator in Missouri and Illinois and 8 other states and he is the Owner of Gateway Investigations, LLC, a full service P.I. firm that conducts work in 10 mid-west states specializing in insurance fraud (workman's comp claim) surveillance.
Gateway Investigations also conducts marital infidelity surveillance and technology recon (cell phone and text message monitoring, internet site and email monitoring, etc...). The firm also specializes in financial and criminal background checks, locating missing persons, conducting asset searches for recovery of judgements and conducting workplace accident investigations and obtaining witness statements in addition to assisting with all matters of family related concerns (DNA testing, drug/alcohol testing, etc...) Gateway Investigations was incorporated in Missouri in 2008.
From 2000-2006, Tim was the Sports Director for Cumulus Broadcasting – Lexington, in which he anchored a 2-hour pre-game and a 2-hour post-game program around University of Kentucky football and basketball on WVLK-AM 590.
Tim also served as a Sports / Current Events Talk Show Host for Cumulus for 7 years (6-8 p.m. nightly & 10-Noon on Sundays in addition to filling in for all other daytime hosts) and remained the top rated talk show host in those time slots amongst three competing sports talk stations in the market.
From a hockey standpoint, Tim currently serves as a broadcast contributor for the St. Louis Blues (NHL) and is the backup PBP announcer and pre-game/post-game host of the St. Louis Blues radio network. Tim was also the General Manager of the Dallas Stars AA operation in 2002-2003 (Lexington Men O’War/ ECHL) and a Vice-President for the San Jose Sharks minor league operations from 1996-2001 (Kentucky Thoroughblades/ AHL) in addition to serving as a PBP broadcaster in the ECHL for 4 years (Birmingham, Roanoke) and in the AHL (Kentucky) for 5 years, encompassing a front office employee career for four different organizations over the course of 11 years.
Tim has also owned and served as publisher / investigative report for several publications, including the investigative crime publication "Snitch" magazine in the the Lexington and Louisville, KY markets from 2001 - 2006 and the St. Louis Scoop (high school sports) publication from 2006-2007.
